Photography isn't just what I do... It's who I am. It's how I see the world, how I connect with people and how I tell stories. But before I dive into why I love this work so much, let me take you back a bit to the moments that shaped me into the photographer I am today.
Little Kaylea...
I've always been someone who feels deeply. I'm the kind of person who cries... a lot, who gets lost in old photo albums for hours and who will always, always be there to cheer you on. I've been this way for as long as I can remember.
At a very young age, I had a lesson on how precious life is and every moment in between. Ever since, I have tried to make the best out of this second chance God gave me. I struggled for years on what my "purpose" in life was. What good can I do?

Growing up, I loved taking pictures. I would take way too many blurry pictures of my pets, plants, people and then get way too excited to see how they turned out. Looking back, it was never about having a "perfect" photo - it was about freezing a feeling, a moment, a memory I never wanted to forget. Me and my sister would do photoshoots together, my cousins, friends. I was constantly having to clean out my phone memory because of all the pictures.
My Own Love Story
Fast forward to 22 years old, and I found my great love story. I married my best friend, Drew - the most loving, supportive and fun guy I know. He encourages me every single, reminding me why I do what I do. He's also the one who keeps me grounded when I'm running full speed ahead with a million creative ideas! Life with him (and our fur babies) is full of laughter, adventure and plenty of happy chaos. He truly inspired me to pursue my passion.

Why I Do What I Do
I believe that photography is more than just pictures. It's about storytelling, connection and making people feel seen and celebrated. When you step in front of my camera,, I want you to feel comfortable, confident and so loved. I want to capture you just as you are.
One of my favorite memories as a photographer was during a maternity session when the mom-to-be teared up seeing the back of my camera. She told me she hadn't felt beautiful in months, and in that moment, she saw herself in a whole new way. I had a client reach out after they had lost a family member and told me they were so happy they did their family session because now they mean so much more.
That's the magic of photography. It's about making people feel something.

When you book a session with me, you're not just getting a photographer - you're getting a personal hype girl, body positive cheerleader and a friend who is just as excited about your story as you are. I'll probably crack some cheesy jokes, ask you to run through a field at sunset and maybe even tear up behind the camera. I believe in capturing the moment instead of the pose. Your story is so special and I would be honored to capture it.
