Today, I'm taking you behind the scenes of one of my absolute favorite sessions. A golden hour love story filled with adventure, so much laughter, and the kind of connection that makes your heart melt.
Meet Chloe & Tanner
Chloe and Tanner are the kind of couple who instantly make you believe in love stories. Their love is equal parts playful and deeply passionate. When we set up the session, our goal was to accomplish something casual, fun, romantic but not too posed... Music to my ears!
The Dreamy Location
Nestled into the heart of Conway, AR, the Hendrix Creek Preserve offers so many stunning spots for photos. We chose the open field , tall golden grass and just enough trees to frame the sunset. Just to add a cherry on top, the beautiful Hendrix Village offers beautiful homes to give a small town romance feel.
As soon as they arrived, I could see the excitement in their eyes (and maybe a little nervousness - totally normal!) So, we kicked things off with some movement to shake off any stiffness.
The First Click: Laughter & Playfulness
Instead of jumping into stiff poses, I had them walk hand-in-hand, bumping shoulders and stealing glances. Within minutes, Chloe was giggling as Tanner whispered something (undoubtedly mischievous). Click. That first candid moment where their personalities shone through? Absolute gold.
From there, things only got sweeter.
Running Wild & Chasing Love
I love capturing moments other than poses. This allows a more relaxed, welcoming vibe so you can be yourselves! It makes everything feel alive. So, I told them, "Tanner, take Chloe's hand and run like you're escaping to your own little world."
And they did.
They ran through the tall grass, Chloe's skirt flowing behind her, their laughter carrying through the air. When they slowed down, he pulled her close, brushing her hair out of her face, and for a moment, it felt like time stopped. Then, I had them do something even more fun - chase each other.
Chloe took off, laughing over her shoulder as Tanner chased after her, his smile wide and completely in love. When he finally caught her, he wrapped his arms around her waist and threw her over his shoulder. Her giggles turned into breathless smiles, and that moment? Pure Magic.
The Quiet, Intimate Moments
After all the movement and laughter, we slowed things down. I had them sit close, forehead to forehead, breathing in the moment. No words, just a quiet pause.
Tanner ran his fingers through Chloe's hair. She closed her eyes and smiled. The way the sunlight wrapped around them, the softness of their love - it was a scene straight out of a Hallmark Movie.
These are the moments that take my breath away. The ones you don't plan for but feel so real.
